This practice involves using a moving meditation, coordinating slow-flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm meditative state of mind. Qi gong is used for recreation, exercise, relaxation, preventive medicine, self-healing, alternative medicine, meditation, self-cultivation, and training for martial arts.
